On October 31st, over 250 St. Michael’s staff stopped by to join us at our first Halloween Spooktacular held in the Information Commons. Participants were encouraged to trick-or-treat at various learning stations, which included information about:
1) Our new Library Quick Search Function, 2) LibGuides, 3) how to set up a Research ID, 4) how to use the Online Health Library for patients, 5) and the newly revamped eHealth Literacy course on the Learning Centre site.
Staff were heard screaming from inside our House of Horrors, and could also be seen checking out our Research Poster on St. Michael’s very own ghosts.
Perhaps the most popular station at our party was the photobooth, run by our resident Photographer-Librarian, Pamela Richards. Staff members were encouraged to pose in their costumes or try on the one’s provided. Pictured below are the costume contest prize winners. To view more photobooth photographs, visit our Library Intranet page.
Cake, candy, prizes and refreshments were also provided. Thank you to everyone who attended, and for those that didn’t get a chance, be sure to visit us next year for yet another great Spooktacular celebration.
