Ontario Limits Pharmacies’ Distribution of Prescription Drugs


The CBC and Reuters report that the Supreme Court of Canada dealt a blow to pharmacy chains on Friday when it upheld the province of Ontario’s ban on drugstores’ sales of their own private-label generic prescription drugs. The reasons for Ontario’s ban are complex, and have wide ranging consequences for Canadians in and out of Ontario.
