Beginning in December, the Health Sciences Library, in partnership with Corporate Health & Safety Services, will be offering monthly stress reduction sessions. The sessions are open to all St. Michael’s staff, students, and volunteers.
All sessions will take place between 1pm and 3pm and will be held in the library or just outside of the library in the information commons. Some sessions will be drop-in, and some will require an RSVP. Sessions that require an RSVP will be split into two time slots: 1-2pm. or 2-3pm.
Our first session of the series, “Stress Reduction 101” will take place on Dec. 6th. This session will be facilitated by Ashley Rosen (Simulation Centre) and will discuss the impact of stress in the workplace and demonstrate examples of simple stress reduction techniques using the five senses. Space is limited for this session, so register by emailing hslibrary@smh.ca as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
