Rare opportunity to see three of the oldest St. Michael’s archival artifacts on display!

Come to the St. Michael’s Hospital Archives Open House on June 9th, and you will have the chance to view first-hand three artifacts dating from the earliest days of St. Michael’s history.

Artifact #1: A financial ledger book from 1892, describing what supplies were needed to run a hospital at the turn of the century and how much they cost

Artifact #2: A patient register from 1892-1899, showing who our earliest patients were and what ailed them

Artifact(s) #3: Photos of St. Michael’s when it opened in 1892, of the first group of interns, and of the first graduating class of nurses from the former School of Nursing

These original documents are not typically used for exhibit purposes due to their fragile nature, so do take this rare opportunity to view them!
